Meet the Beloved, Concert-Obsessed "Dancing Man" of L.A. | PBS Short Docs

Howard Mordoh, a 69-year-old retired clinical laboratory scientist from Los Angeles, CA, is quite possibly the world’s biggest concert enthusiast. A notorious fixture of the L.A. music scene, Howard’s love of concerts spans genres, venues, and decades — and he's always dancing. But with live music canceled during the COVID pandemic, and given his husband's health concerns, Howard has to get creative in order to keep dancing. This short documentary inhabits Howard’s unique lifestyle and passion for concerts, all the while exploring the trauma of suddenly losing not only life’s purpose but human connection altogether. #Documentary #Dancing #PBSShortDocs Subscribe to PBS Voices so you never miss a new video: https://to.pbs.org/2XewHgX FOLLOW INDEPENDENT LENS: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/independentlens Twitter: https://twitter.com/IndependentLens Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/independentlens Directors SCOTT SHEPPARD JEN FODOR Producers JEN FODOR SCOTT SHEPPARD Executive Producers SALLY JO FIFER LOIS VOSSEN JOSH POLON Cinematographer SCOTT SHEPPARD Editor SCOTT SHEPPARD Music ZACK WRIGHT Vice President of Production ROYD CHUNG Supervising Producer PAMELA TORNO Associate Producer SUSAN COHEN Written by SCOTT SHEPPARD Archival Cinematography HOWARD MORDOH Additional Camera JEN FODOR Still Photography DAVE CAIN Post Production Services FANCY FILM Post Producers BILL MACOMBER AYANNA HART GLORIA CORONADO-MYATT Colorist TONY SHEK Re-Recording Mixer PAUL HOLLMAN Online Assist JACOB FISHER Film Transfer L.A.
