United Nations and the Asahi Shimbun join forces to showcase expert and influential voices at “SDG ZONE at TOKYO”. 2.Leaders of climate action and sustainability from different specialties - sport, space, and indigenous communities – share the urgency to fight this global issue and advise to take part in this fight to save the planet. Speakers: Hannah Mills, Olympic athlete (sailing), Founder of Big Plastic Pledge; Soichi Noguchi, Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) Astronaut; and Archana Soreng, Member of the UN Secretary-General’s Youth Advisory Group on Climate Change. Moderator: Ryan Takeshita, Former-Editor-in-Chief of HuffPost Japan. SDG ZONE at TOKYO is organized by the United Nations Department of Global Communications (DGC), United Nations Information Centre Tokyo (UNIC Tokyo), and the Asahi Shimbun Company as the first of the SDG Media Zone series organized fully by DGC’s office at the country level.
