The topics: The impact of the climate crisis on stability was at the forefront as the United Nations Security Council as the General Assembly heard from world leaders. Top officials from across the globe continued their annual meeting at the United Nations, calling attention to the inequalities exposed by the COVID-19 pandemic, wasteful military spending and the impact of corruption on governance. The annual session, being held in person and virtually because of the pandemic, will continue through 27 September.
