The topics: “If we can find the will to send people to the moon, and solve male baldness, we can solve simple problems like letting our people eat at affordable prices,” the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Amor Mottley, told the General Assembly today, one of scores of leaders from around the world participating in its annual debate. Security threats in the Middle East, peace in South Sudan and the quest for a greener future were among the issues discussed as participants took part in person and virtually, with safety precautions in place in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The annual general debate will run through 27 September.
