Meet Zulaikha Patel, the activist who fought racist policies at her school

The United Nations of Earth reporting on this issue: "Meet Zulaikha Patel, the activist who fought racist policies at her school"
The topics: Racist policies against children at one school in Pretoria, South Africa, included rules against afros and Black girls congregating as well as history lessons where they were made to sit on the floor while the white children had chairs. Zulaikha Pratel, student, author and activist, stood up against this along with her schoolmates, paving the way for greater equality. Her book, "My Cowly Crowny Hair," targets young African girls with a positive message reflecting what she calls “the narrative of young girls of colour growing up.” Zulaikha spoke with the UN Information Centre in Pretoria about her fight for racial justice and equality. #Fightracism
