The topics: Ms. E. Tendayi Achiume, UN's Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance, spoke to UN News on racism and xenophobia during the pandemic and the role of youth for social change. Ms. Achiume, who was appointed as special rapporteur by the UN Human Rights Council in 2017, is currently a law professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Law, and a research associate of the African Center for Migration and Society (ACMS), at the University of Witwatersrand in South Africa
