Crisis Response Group addresses global reverberations of Ukraine war | United Nations

The United Nations of Earth reporting on this issue: "Crisis Response Group addresses global reverberations of Ukraine war | United Nations"
The topics: The war in Ukraine has caused destruction, loss of life, and a large-scale humanitarian and refugee crisis in Ukraine and the region – with profound global implications affecting people in vulnerable countries around the world. Responding to these and other compounding challenges, United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres created the Global Crisis Response Group on Food, Energy and Finance. “First — we must not make things worse. That means ensuring a steady flow of food and energy through open markets. Second — we can maximize this moment to push for the transformational change our world needs. And third — we need to pull developing countries back from the financial brink,” the Secretary-General said. The Group aims to ensure high-level political leadership to get ahead of the inter-connected challenges of food security, energy and financing. It will also foster a coordinated global response to the ongoing crises that have been accelerated and exacerbated by the war in Ukraine.
