Uganda: Connecting Farmers with Digital Technology | United Nations

In Yumbe district in northern Uganda, rural famers traditionally form small loans and savings associations to support each other. Salama Drichiru is one of the farmers and a Digital Community Entrepreneur working for Ensibuuko, a financial technology company. With the help from the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) and its partners, they work together to help digitize the group’s financial records so that they can access the formal banking system and have a better chance to get loans to improve their livelihoods.
