The conversation about Bible contradictions has become almost trite. Skeptics point out common places where the Bible seems to contradict itself, and apologists retort with equally common explanations meant to show why those parts of the Bible don't actually contradict each other. They also enjoy referring to them as "alleged" or "supposed" contradictions.
So what's the story? In this video, I'll discuss this phenomenon using the Gospels' various account of Jesus' empty tomb as an example. I'll look at possible contradictions that CAN be resolved using semantics and discuss whether these excuses - even when defensible - represent a likely reading of the text, as well as digging deeper into how the texts contradict each other in more obvious, unavoidable ways. I'll also look at examples of how apologists try to reconcile these.
