State of Climate in Africa: New Report Warns Hottest Decade on Record | United Nations



Extreme weather and climate change impacts hit Africa hard, a new World Meteorological Organization (WMO) report warns, released today. The year 2024 was the warmest or second-warmest year, depending on the dataset, and the past decade has been the warmest on record. These impacts exacerbate hunger, insecurity and displacement in the region.
